Optional modules that grow with you
You can expand your SMS program at any time by adding new modules, all with the easy interface you already know.
Whenever there is a major new government program, we create a new module for it (see our Guarantee)
And if there is a module you need that we don’t have; tell us (see You drive development).
Optional modules you can choose include:
- HACC (Home and Community Care MDS V1 and V2)
- CSTDA (Disability Services)
- NRCP (National Respite for Carers Program)
- EACH (Extended Aged Care at Home)
- CACP (Community Aged Care Packages)
- VHC (Veterans Home Care)
- DVA Community Nursing (Department of Veterans Affairs)
- Meals on Wheels
- Data groups
- State-based assessment tools (eg CIARR, ONI, HNI, SCTT etc)
Home and Community Care MDS V1 and V2
SMS records static client information and services as required for the HACC Minimum Data Set (V1 and the new V2).
Once the data is entered in SMS you can automatically produce the quarterly return and email to the Repository, directly from the system.
With this module you can use SMS to record Commonwealth State / Territory Disability Agreement (CSTDA) National Minimum Data Set (NMDS) collection client information, validate National Minimum Data Set entries and automatically create the Service Type Outlet and Service User Annual Return.
National Respite for Carers Program (NRCP)
This module collects all the client data required to produce the six-monthly Service Activity Report in the format required by the Department of Health and Ageing.
It produces a pro-forma of the six-monthly service report.
Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH)
This SMS module collects all the data needed to fulfill EACH and EACH Dementia reporting requirements.
It produces a pro-forma of the monthly claim form.
Community (Aged) Care Packages (CACP)
This SMS module enables collection of CACP data.
It generates specific reports to assist with funding body reporting requirements.
- cessation and leave-type code recording
- allocation of clients to packages
- excess recipients.
SMS produces a pro-forma of the Monthly Claim Form.
Veterans’ Home Care
The Veterans’ Home Care module manages Service Plans within SMS.
Once the service plans are entered, services (and recurring services) can be linked to them.
A range of automated reports are available, including:
- a monthly report produced in the DVA Website Claims for Payment format,
- service plans expiring within a date range
- active service plans for a date range.
DVA Community Nursing
The SMS Community Nursing DVA module automatically produces the information required to complete the 28 day claim to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
This report allows tracking of detailed DVA income against the cost of providing the services.
The information can then be entered onto the electronic template provided by the Department and sent to their repository.
The SMS transport module enables easy recording of client transport specific requirements (e.g. has wheelchair, requires front seat etc).
There are additional fields against the Transport service to show pickup time, pickup and destination locations (you can create your own list to choose from), appointment times and vehicle.
Creation of return trip (if a two way trip) is easy and special transport reports are available by driver and vehicle.
Meals on Wheels
The SMS Meals on Wheels module is a comprehensive management system for the preparation and delivery of meals to clients in the community.
The module can be implemented in part or in full to suit the needs of your organisation.
For the kitchen SMS produces:
- the menu of the day
- numbers of each meal type required
- labels for each meal box
SMS accommodates all individual dietary requirements and prints appropriate labels for special dietary meal boxes.
For delivery points SMS produces:
- delivery run sheets showing client’s name, address, meal type and dollar amount to be collected (optional).
SMS records payments and produces financial reports including:
- amounts due
- balance reports.
SMS also records data and services for HACC MDS reporting.
Private, sub-contract and brokered services
SMS easily meets the needs of non-government funded, private, for-profit, sub-contract and brokered services suppliers.
Costs are minimised by not having to pay for funding modules you don’t need, but if your circumstances change you can always add them later.
Easily generates costed schedules of client services for charging (billing) to external organisations. Details can be exported to most accounting systems.
Income-versus-cost reports are available at all levels, for service, client and organisation, making it easy to track financial outcomes.
State based tools
This module automates data processing in compliance with all relevant state- and Commonwealth-mandated assessment and referral tools (eg, CIARR, ONI, HNI, SCTT etc).
You can choose remote electronic data transmission options.
